Built for athletesand the people chasing them
Acceleration, deceleration, change of direction and the strength underneath all three. Useful for competitive athletes, and just as useful for anyone who wants to move like they used to.
- You compete, or your kid does
- You are preparing for a season or a tryout
- You want to move well, not just look trained
- Movement assessment before anything is prescribed
- Sprint mechanics, footwork and reactive drills
- Strength work that supports the speed work
- Testing so improvement is measured rather than felt

“Despite the significant challenges, my weight, failing knees, and a chronic illness, Joel agreed to work with me. Twelve years later, I am still training with him, because I trust him with my life.”

“Joel helped me tremendously with guidance on food, workouts and main focuses. But honestly the best part was having someone to vent to about life while rebuilding myself.”
“He taught me how to use food as fuel. No more emotional eating. Now I work out with Kayla twice a week, she challenges me every workout and makes me feel like I can do anything.”
Before you start
Is the first session really free?
Yes. New clients, in person, one time. You meet your coach, talk through your goal and anything that hurts, and you train. If it is not for you, you owe nothing. Starting online instead, your first month is half price.
What does personal training cost at The Fit Influence?
One on one in the gym is $75 a session, and packages bring that down to $60. Virtual one on one is $40. Online coaching starts at $129 a month. Small group and kickboxing are both $40 a class, and ten packs bring either to $35. Every price is published, so you never have to ask.
What are your hours?
Both gyms run by appointment rather than open hours, so you are never turning up to a locked door or waiting for equipment. You book a time with your coach and that time is yours. Call the gym or request a session and we will find a slot that works, including early mornings and evenings.
Where are you located?
Two gyms. 3627 Beatties Ford Rd in Charlotte, and 219 Main St in Pineville. You can train at either, and remote clients train with us by live video from anywhere.
I have an injury or I have had surgery. Can I still train?
Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. Joel has coached for twenty five years and has clients who came back after back surgery and after a liver transplant. Tell us in your first session and the program is built around it.
